Virginia M. Smidt age 80 of Peoria, Illinois passed away at 10:38pm Sunday June 17, 2012 at Riverview Health Care in E. Peoria, IL. She was born Jan. 12, 1932 in Chicago, IL. to Roniva and Marion (Walters) Brown. She married James T. Smidt on Oct. 21, 1950 in Chicago, and he passed away in September of 2009. Surviving are her children, Larry Smidt of Boise, Idaho, Sue (Tim) Highland of Germantown Hills, Karen Hester of Murrieta, CA, and Craig (Megan) Smidt of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and one brother Bud Brown of Chicago, IL. Virginia had worked as a secretary in the Banking Industry.
