EAST PEORIA?Virginia Ranney, 85, of East Peoria, passed away at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Meme was born in Tennessee on October 3, 1928 to Walter and Nellie (Woolard) Suiter. She married Byron Ranney in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on November 5, 1949. Byron died on January 21, 2007 in East Peoria. Meme leaves a small family who she loved with every ounce of her being. One daughter, Lynn (Jerry) Porter and two granddaughters, Lindsay (Gary) Chance and Kristin (Jef) Westbrook, all of East Peoria, will cherish the memories of their beloved Meme. She also leaves three great grandson, Ash, Logan and Jett, which lit up her world like nothing else and three granddogs. Meme will be seeing three brothers who went before her. Meme was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria. She loved her Lord and we rejoice in her joining Him. Someday we will meet again. Funeral services for Meme will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2014 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with burial following in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Easter Seals.
