Vincent Adam Melaik

Vincent Adam Melaik, 61, of Deer Creek, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 8:06 am at his cousin's residence.

He was born on January 4, 1963 in Chicago, IL, to Dr. Lawrence L. and Freda V. (Sides) Melaik.

Adam dedicated his life to helping others, embodying a spirit of compassion and selflessness that touched everyone he met. Known for his laid-back demeanor and warm heart, he never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. Adam's legacy of kindness and his unwavering commitment to others will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gregory Melaik.

Vincent was a brick and block layer for 30 years, retiring in June, 2021.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service to celebrate Adam's life and the profound impact he had on those around him will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. A Celebration of Life following the service will be held at the Outpost in Eureka, IL.
