Vincent Knock

Vincent D. "Butch" Knock, Jr., 70, of Eureka, IL passed away at 11:22 am on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his home. He was born on January 23, 1944 to Vincent and Rita Vacha Knock, Sr. in Miami, FL. He married Kathy Sarlina in December, 1968 in Cleveland, OH. She died on February 27, 2005. Surviving are his children, Michele (Scot) Furlong of Trivoli, Tony (Mindy) Knock of Washington, Tammy Knock of Eureka; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; step-mother, Rachel Knock of Peoria; siblings, Bob (Barb) Knock of East Peoria, Jeff (Barb) Welch of Morton, Mike Knock of Harwood Heights, IL and Jan (Gary) Olson of Chicago; good friends, Joy Dean and Randy (Judy) Schertz, both of Eureka. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Suzette Knock, in 1965. Vince worked at Caterpillar for 30 years as a Quality Control Supervisor, retiring in 1993. He was of the Catholic faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Father Greg Josefiak officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Peoria.
