Victor M. Knoblauch

Victor M. Knoblauch, 58, formerly of Metamora, IL passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born on November 8, 1959 in Peoria, IL to Donald and Jayne (Clark) Knoblauch. Victor is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cathy (Campana) Knoblauch. Also surviving are his daughter Nicole Knoblauch; parents Don and Jayne of Metamora; siblings Clare Knoblauch and Brian (Kandy) Knoblauch; sister-in-law Lori Knoblauch; Godmother Maxine Kern; Godson Justin Knoblauch; Goddaughter Emily Toone; father-in-law Arthur (the late Tess) Campana; sister-in-law Donna (John) Toone; brother-in-law Arthur (Kelly) Campana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by siblings Bennett, Roger, Karl, Myra, and Ruth Knoblauch. Victor spent his early years growing up on the family farm. In his high school years at LowPoint-Washburn High School, he was active in baseball, basketball, and track. He was also involved in band and chorus. He was also known to be always drumming a beat on anything that could sound like a drum. After graduation he attended ICC for two years and also graduated from ISU with a degree in Ag Business Management. He then joined the family farm for 4-5 years and then finished his career in retail management in the Northwest Chicago suburb. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Vien Van Do and Father Jeff Laible officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Church with visitation to follow from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm. Additional visitation will be held from 10:30 am until mass time on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Metamora immediately following Mass.
