WASHINGTON?Vera E. Miner, 90, of Washington, went to meet her Lord at 6:37 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Maye (Bair) Parker of Astoria, IL. Vera married Donald L. Miner on August 12, 1945 in Vermont, IL. He died on October 8, 1998. One brother, Carroll L. Parker also preceded her in death. She is survived by one sister Neva Marlene (Roger) Suddith of Washington, IL and three nephews. Vera was employed by LeTourneau-Westinghouse in Peoria for 24 years and later by the Scottish Rite Cathedral for 12 years. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and Wabco Retirees Club. Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Dan Doty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Private burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church.
