Venita Pauline Craig

Venita Pauline Craig, 93, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL. She was born on August 25, 1927, in Alto Pass, IL, to Daniel and Minnie (Irvin) Hartsock.

She resided in Spring Bay, Illinois with her husband, Gilbert Carl Craig. They were married in Jackson, MO on May 27, 1943. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2012. Her daughters Paula (Dave) Hale of East Peoria also preceded her in death on March 29, 2021, and Carolyn Sue Craig on February 25, 1952.

She is survived by her son Sam (Vicki) Craig of Spring Bay. Also surviving are her three grandsons, Chad (Wendy) Craig of Dunlap, Dr. Matt (Kendra) Craig of Morton, IL, and Mark (Laura) Craig of Morton, IL. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Collin, Aty and Blaine, Piper, Ava, Pete, Jack, and Henry.

She was a homemaker and loved Jesus. She loved reading her bible and enjoyed reading fiction books. The healing that was prayed for, has now been realized.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Per Venita's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial of Ashes will be in Spring Bay Cemetery at a later time. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
