Vanda Duncan, 86, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at The Loft in Eureka. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Pastor Rick Brisbin, from Faith Church in Washington, will officiate. Vanda was born on October 22, 1937, in Peoria, a daughter of Howard and Lucille (O'Hare) Pfoff. She married Kent Mohr in 1970, with whom she had three daughters. She then married Larry Taylor. He preceded her in death. After Larry's death, she married Cloney Duncan. He also preceded her in death, along with her parents, a brother and a sister. She is survived by her daughters, Teri (Scott) Hieronymus of East Peoria, Angela Smith of East Peoria and Karen Minter of Sunnyland; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Vanda last worked at JC Penney as a clerk. She enjoyed puzzles and watching sports, especially, the Chicago Cubs and Bears. She liked being at her church, but her most precious place to be, was with her family. She always made sure to have a full bowl of candy for her grandchildren and enough cash for them to spend at the Little Store. Her family described her as loving, kind, generous and thoughtful.
