Trina L. Dotson, 49, of Metamora, IL passed away at 5:23 am on Monday, September 19, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. She was born on December 4, 1966 in Peoria, IL to Kenneth L. and Judith L. (Lane) Parker. She married Richard J. Dotson on June 7, 1997 in Hanna City, IL. He survives. Also surviving is her mother Judy of Metamora; brother Kenneth L. Parker II of Metamora; niece Riley Parker of Creve Coeur; nephew Jacob Parker of Brimfield; and great-niece Brie Waddell of Peoria Heights. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth, grandparents, and special cousin Steve Hurst. Trina was a 1985 graduate of Metamora Township High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from ISU and completed two Master's programs, one in Reading and the other in Instruction in Curriculum. She was a Special Education teacher at Georgetown Middle School in Marquette Heights for 22 years. She loved reading, traveling, fishing with her dad, car rides, car shows, and especially her antique 1954 Chevy Belair convertible car. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, OSF Hospice, or Special Opportunities Available in Recreation (S.O.A.R.), 115 East Washington Street, Bloomington, IL 61701. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
