Thomas L. "Tommy" Casey

Thomas L. “Tommy” Casey, 19, of Metamora, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on May 15, 2007, in Peoria, IL, to Cullen L. and Deanna S. (Grebner) Casey.

Surviving are his parents, Cullen and Deanna of Metamora; sisters, Rachel Casey of Toulon, IL and Reagan Casey of Metamora; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Renee Grebner of Metamora; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Pauline Casey.

Tommy graduated from St. Mary’s School in 2022 and MTHS in 2026. He loved his job at Eli’s Coffee Shop in Metamora where he met many great people. He planned to attend ICC then transfer to the University of Illinois Chicago to pursue a degree in Architecture.

From an early age, he began his artistic journey by knitting clothes for his stuffed animal Nunny, and later included painting, woodworking, Legos, and Minecraft projects to name just a few. Tommy ran track and cross country in grade and high school. He exhibited livestock in 4-H, was an ensemble performer in the school musical Frozen, and attended four years of Snowball. Most of all Tommy rocked his signature baggy fit, and loved his many pairs of Nikes.

Tommy loved God. He was a member and eight year altar server at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church. He had a special devotion to the Holy Eucharist and cherished his friendships formed during and after his Intense and Ignite Conference experiences.

The family wishes to invite everyone able to attend his services to wear their signature ‘fit’ as Tommy believed that everyone should find their own way to dress well.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Eric Bolek officiating. Rosary will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with visitation to follow from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary of Lourdes Cemetery.
