Thomas Lee Becker

PEORIA?Thomas Lee Becker (Shempy), 56, of Peoria, formerly of Washington, IL, passed away at his home, Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Tom was born February 20, 1957 in Mendota, IL to Delmar F. and Kathleen L. (Flaherty) Becker. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Becker; one sister, Sharon Kay Younce and his step-father, James "Pops" Helms. Surviving is his mother, Kathleen Becker Helms; two sons, Timothy Becker Breitbarth and Tony Becker Breitbarth; three daughters, Jennifer Becker, Shasta (Tim) Eucher and Amy Hart; one brother, Bill Becker; four sisters, Rita Mae (Dave) Williams, Julie Gonzales, Sandra (Chuck) Adams and Barbara Woods. Also surviving are Bruce (Connie) Helms, Doug (Tammi) Helms, Todd (Angela) Helms along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Tom loved fishing, watching sports of any kind, especially if it was the Bears or the Cubs and most of all spending time with his family. He also enjoyed riding his Harley when he could. A special thanks to his caretakers, Lacey and Angela, along with Dr. Stoner and the staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Visitation will be at Mason White Funeral Home, Washington, on Sunday, January 12 from 1-3 pm with services immediately following. Tom?s cousin, Pastor Larry Glenn will officiate.
