Terry Lee Smith, aka. Petey's, 64, passed away at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria on October 30, 2022, in Peoria, IL. He was born in Sandwich, IL, on August 16, 1958. He previously resided in Leavenworth, KS.

Terry is survived by his children Cody Smith of Leavenworth KA, Madison Smith, and Connor Smith, both of Columbus, OH; his mother, Lea Rae Mulally of Washington, IL; his brothers Tod Mulally of Marietta, GA, and Troy Mulally of Washington IL, one sister Trisha (Darrell) Johnson of Washington IL. His father, Gary Mulally, and his brother Thomas Mulally preceded him in death.

Diagnosed with cancer nine years ago with a short time to live, Terry beat the odds with his strong love and desire to see his children grow up. Terry was a man of many hats and literal pairs of shoes in his life's journey. Friends and family remember his quick wit and sense of humor and his famous chicken wings. He passed the day before his favorite holiday to celebrate without pain. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
