Teresa C. Lemkemann

Teresa C. Lemkemann, 87, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 9:58 am on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. She was born on November 20, 1929 in Peoria, IL to John E. and Alice M. (Hallam) Carr. She married Fred J. Lemkemann on February 7, 1948 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on May 13, 2012. Surviving are her children John (Jeanne) Lemkemann and Joe (Jodi) Lemkemann both of East Peoria, IL, Jan (Steve) Austin of Peoria, IL, Julie (Jim) Packman and Jamie Dixon both of Washington; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and brother Robert Carr of Manito, IL. She was preceded in death by great-grandson Dax Locke, sister Frances Kelly, and brother John Patrick Carr. Teresa was a member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Metamora. She was also a member of the Art Guild in Peoria. She was active in china painting and china painting collecting. She was an unique artist in her own way and extremely talented in all mediums of art. She also enjoyed garage saleing. Teresa loved being with her family and grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating.
