Ted H. Kalley

Ted H. Kalley, 82, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:33 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Snyder Village in Metamora. He was born on May 2, 1935 in Galesburg, IL to Everett E. and Anna M. (Johnson) Kalley. He first married Sylvia A. Gilliatt who is the mother of his children. He then married Susan L. Hale on April 8, 1995 in Metamora. She survives.

Also surviving are children Ron (Geni) Kalley of Scappoose, OR, Jeanie (Denis) Cyr of Peoria, and Tim (Jeanine) Kalley of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren Nicole (LaMont) Andrews, Sean (Lesia) Kalley, Gavin (Courtney) Kalley, Gabrielle, Isabella, Katelyn, and Lauren; four great-grandchildren Darien, Camryn, Gage, and Campbell; sisters Karin (Sonny) Peters of Metamora and Lois (the late Sid) Hietter of St. Louis, MO; many nieces and nephews including Mike (Donna) Peters; and his dogs Callie and Josie. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly Kelly and brothers Jack and Richard Kalley.

Ted was the owner/operator of Kalley Electric for 52 years. He loved his dogs, the outdoors, boating, dancing, music, Christmas coffee, and was an avid Cubs fan. He was a craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and making things. Ted was always there to help anyone in need.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
