Steven P. Chambers

PEORIA?Steven P. Chambers, 61, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2015. He was born August 20, 1953 to Ivan L. and Joan Chambers in Peoria. Steve married the love of his life Susan D. Ramirez on August 22, 1983. He is survived by his wife, Sue, his mother Joan, his sisters Linda (Joe) Gaidos of Chillicothe, Mary Lou (Olen) Ellington of Princeville, Susan (Tom) Hranka of Germantown Hills and his brother, David Chambers of Phoenix, Arizona. Another special person in Steve?s life was Jessica Rodgers, who was like a daughter to him. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother and best friend, Mike Chambers. Steve worked as an RN for over 18 years, and currently worked at the neurology/epilepsy office at OSF hospital. One of his great passions was music, and in his early life Steve was a professional musician. Among his other interests were traveling to music venues, gardening, reading,spoiling his 3 cats and spending time with his beloved nieces and nephews. Cremation rights accorded with a private family ceremony. Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting in arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steve?s favorite charities, Neighborhood House Pet Food Program and TAPS.
