Also surviving are two sons David Springer of Farmingdale New York, and James (Debbie) Springer of Metamora; one daughter Jane (Tom) Hagan of Metamora; five grandchildren, Josh (Nikki) Springer, Justin (Kim) Springer, Sara (Justin) Dentino, Neil Hagan, and Natalie Hagan; one great grandchild Taylor Dentino. Simon was preceded in death by an infant son Steven; his parents, two brothers Roy and Vernon and one sister Dorothy. Simon was a Army Medical Corman during the Korean War. He worked at ABC Manufacturing, Martin Brothers Implement, and then at Caterpillar for 30 years. Simon was a life long member of Roanoke Mennonite Church. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter, and always thought more of others than himself. Graveside services will be at 10:00am Monday April 5, 2010 at Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am at the Roanoke Mennonite Church. Reverend Doug Hicks officiating. Visitation will be Sunday April 4, 2010 from 5pm until 8pm at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel.
