WASHINGTON... Shirley Ann Crawford, 79, of Washington, passed away at 8 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015 at Snyder Village in Metamora. Shirley was born on November 23, 1935 in Taunton, Massachusetts to Howard and Arlene (Dyer) Yates. She married Earl Crawford in Corinth, Mississippi on March 20, 1953 and has celebrated 62 years of marriage with Earl. Also surviving are their four children, Janet (Michael) Fandel of Magnolia, Steven Edward Crawford and Brian Crawford, both of Washington and Julie Greatting of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Howard (Charlotte) Yates of Wyoming, Illinois, Bob (Anna) Yates of Peoria, Arizona and Ray Yates of Cottonwood, Arizona; one sister, Diane Wilson of Cottonwood, Arizona; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Shirley had worked in the cafeteria at St. Patrick's School in Washington for many years and then later worked in the mail room at Bergner's warehouse in Peoria. She was a long time member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church where a memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 with Father Steve Willard officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded and Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements.
