Sharon L. Purcell

Sharon L. Purcell age 67 of Germantown Hills, Illinois passed away at 5:15pm Thursday Dec. 6, 2012 at Washington Christian Village. She was born Nov. 19, 1945 in Peoria to Harold and Mabel ( Christianson) Bailey and married Larry E. Purcell on July 31 1966 in Peoria and he survives. Surviving are two daughters, Tara (Mick) Veloso and Jana (Jeff Dorelle) Purcell both of E. Peoria. Two grandchildren, Wynn Veloso and Jenna Dorelle. She is also survived by one brother John (Lori Windows) Engstrom of Princeton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Rick Bailey and Earl Engstrom. Sharon was a beautician for 43 years owning the Curl Harbor in the Spring Bay Area. She was a member of the E. Peoria Boat Club and attended Northwoods Community Church. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening; her laugh was contagious and she loved her family. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon Tuesday Dec. 11, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am till service time at the funeral home, with burial in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
