WASHINGTON...Sharon E. Crone, 70, of Washington, passed away at 2:10 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Sharon was born on May 14, 1941 in Peoria to Earl and Belle Skinner Athens. She married Robert Crone in Peoria on April 23, 1960. Bob survives. Also surviving are three children, Kimberly (Daniel) Vermeere of Moline, Keith Crone of Washington and Stephanie (Andy) Rayniak of Bloomington; one sister, Erva Bassett of New Mexico; four loving grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Ashley and Payton and one special great grandson, Easton. She was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Wilson. Sharon was a graduate of Woodruff High School and had worked several years ago at Prospect Bank. She enjoyed cross stitch sewing, her cats, Moe and Curly, jewelry, candles, roses, wind chimes and teddy bears. Some of Sharon?s most treasured memories were those spent with the family on the many trips to their home at Lake of the Ozarks. Sharon was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Peoria where funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20 at Noon with Pastor James Lillie officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to services and burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Intensive Care Unit at OSF St. Francis.
