S. Louise (Quinn) Dubois

S. Louise DuBois, 90, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 7:40 am on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Snyder Village Health Center in Metamora.

She was born on September 11, 1933, in Bloomington, IL, to James and Mary (Friedrich) Quinn. She married Francis W. DuBois on January 17, 1953 in East Peoria, IL. He passed away on January 8, 2009.

Surviving are her four sons, Mike (Mary) DuBois of Lutz, FL, Bill (Terri) DuBois and Tom DuBois both of Metamora; and Warren (Cheryl) DuBois of Naperville, IL; three daughters, Jeanne (Mike) Kubera of Rockford, IL, Elaine DuBois of Blufton, SC, and Amy (Mark) Miller of Cuba, IL; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jack (Kay) Quinn of East Peoria, IL, Rita (Gene) Ackley of Creve Coeur, IL and Steve (Cathy) Quinn of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Judy Davidson, Margaret Quinn, and James Quinn.

Louise was an East Peoria High School graduate. She was a full-time stay-at-home mom where she raised her seven children, ran a household, and chauffeured her children and their friends to all their many practices and games. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was a gifted seamstress. She volunteered and served as co-chairperson for Relay for Life in Eureka and then in Metamora for several years. Louise was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora, Altar and Rosary Society, and the Women's Auxiliary.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Kipfer officiating. Family private time will be held from 10:00 am until 10:45 am. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary's School, 400 West Chatham Street, Metamora, IL 61548 or to Susan G.
