Ruth L. Remley

Ruth L. Remley, 94, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 9:58 am on Monday, May 24, 2021.  She was born on April 20, 1927, in Washburn, IL, to Saul W. and Helen E. (Sharp) Winkler. She married Charles Raymond "Jack" Remley on December, 1945 in Iowa. He died on November 26, 2001.

Surviving are her daughter, Connie (Karl) Schmitz of Metamora; son, Chuck (Kathi) Remley of Algonquin, IL; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cindy, son-in-law Randy, brother Melvin Winkler, and sister Mary Boland.

Ruth was a member of the Washburn Christian Church in Washburn, IL. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Bob DeBolt officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of her service on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Linn-Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn, IL.
