Ruth Katherine Ennis

Ruth Katherine Ennis, 102, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:38 pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL. She was born on March 4, 1916 in Kickapoo, IL to John G. and Katherine (Strickfaden) Eisele. She married Edward B. Ennis on August 24, 1938 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on November 1, 2004.

Surviving are children Gerald (Wanda) Ennis of Chesterfield, MO and Donald (Joanne) Ennis of Garland, TX; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, one granddaughter, and four sisters.

Ruth was a line worker for Hiram Walker in Peoria, retiring in 1976. She was a long time member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church before moving to Metamora and becoming a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Vien Van Do officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria, IL.
