Royce Eric Butler, 49, of Morton, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on August 2, 1973 in Joliet, IL, the son of Michael and Barbara (Heiberger) Butler.

Surviving are two sons, Dominic (Janelle) Butler of West Jordan, Utah and Cameron Butler of Mackinaw, IL; one brother, Rory (Michelle) Butler of East Peoria, IL; two sisters, Trina Butler of Eureka, IL and Jon'l (Tim) Alexander of Chillicothe, IL; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Michael and Barbara Butler.

Royce was employed at Caterpillar and was a kitchen manager, serving local restaurants in our community for over 30 years. He loved music and was passionate about playing his guitar.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the American Legion Post 100 in Washington. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
