Rosemary E. Christ

Rosemary E. Christ, 79, of Lowpoint, IL, passed away at 4:52 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on April 19, 1947, in Washington, IL, to Edmund J. and Anna J. (Nauman) Grebner. She married Larry J. Christ on September 13, 1965, in Metamora, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Larry of Lowpoint, IL; two daughters, Lisa (Timothy) Becker of Washington, IL and Kelly Christ of Lowpoint, IL; two granddaughters, Alexandra (Zackery) Brown and Madison Becker; and three great-grandsons, Braker, Banks, and Ronan Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers.

Rosemary was a 1965 Metamora Township High School graduate, serving as the salutatorian of her class. Rosemary had visited Germany and went sightseeing throughout Europe during the Vietnam War when her husband was in the Army. She was a big Metamora sports fan, especially football. She loved music, especially the Beatles, and had sung in the choir at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Lowpoint. Rosemary also loved playing pinochle and enjoyed Old Settlers Days and the concerts in the park.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Tim Beddingfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time, also on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Buckingham Cemetery in Lowpoint, IL.
