Rose Marie Neff

Rose Marie (Kiesewetter) Neff, 88, of Cazenovia, IL passed away at 5:15 am on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at her residence. She was born on April 6, 1928 at home in Metamora to Peter and Cyrilla (Fandel) Kiesewetter. She married Donald S. Neff on July 31, 1948 in Metamora. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1997. Surviving are her children Tamara Neff of Eagle River, Alaska, Douglas (Mary) Neff of St. Charles, MO, Linda (David) Viggers of St. Louis, MO, and Donna Neff of Cazenovia. Rose was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her parents, infant son Gregory, eight brothers, two sisters, and one infant sister preceded her in death. Rose worked for Caterpillar in Accounts Payable for 32 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caterpillar Retires Club, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, and American Legion Auxiliary Post 661 in Washburn. Rose loved volunteering as a cashier for numerous local events and charities. The family would like to express special thanks to those who provided in-home care and support to Rose over the last several years. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with visitation to follow from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Metamora. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Metamora. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
