Rose Mary Chase

WASHINGTON... Rose Mary Chase, 97, of Washington, passed away at 4:59 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at UnityPoint Proctor in Peoria. Rose Mary was born on May 15, 1918 in Eveleth, Minnesota to John and Rose (Blatnik) Usnik. She married William J. Chase in Washington on December 28, 1946. Bill passed away on October 12, 1997 in Peoria. Among those surviving is one son, David (Rose) Chase of Peoria Heights; one daughter, Patricia (Larry) Gordon of Fresno, California; four grandchildren, Terry, Jeff, John and Christine and three great grandchildren, Alex, Kylie and Noah. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa and four brothers, John, Rudy, Ed and Joe. Rose Mary was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Washington where she had been active in the Quilt Club and Altar and Rosary Society. Rose Mary also attended St. Thomas Catholic Church and had been active years ago in the Washington Senior Citizen Club. Graveside rites for Rose Mary will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
