Ronald E. Zoss

Ronald E. Zoss age 63 of Low Point, Illinois passed away at 5:44pm Saturday July 27, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born July 4, 1950 in Peoria to Kenneth and Mary (Eigsti) Zoss. He married Mary Anne Headings on Dec. 8, 1972 in Roanoke and she survives. Surviving are his parents of Washburn, one daughter Jeannie (Raymond Jr.) Stratton of Sicklerville N.J., one son Curtis Zoss of Shreveport, LA., grandchildren Arman and Brianna Stratton, one brother, Rick (Phyllis) Zoss of Canyon City, CO. and his sister Susan ( Steve) Zoss of Washburn and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Jerry, his grandparents, mother-in-law, father -in-law and one brother-in-law. Ron was a life long farmer and worked for DMI in Goodfield, Illinois for over 20 years. Ron was of the Mennonite faith and wanted to be remembered as "Doing the best he could with what he was given in Life". Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday August 1, 2013 at Cazenovia Mennonite Church with Rev. Dennis Kennell officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel and also one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Stewart Harmony Cemetery in rural Metamora.
