Ronald L. Naffziger

WASHINGTON - Ronald L. Naffziger, 80, of Washington, IL passed away at 11:54 am on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, surrounded by his family. Ron was born on April 28, 1936 in Peoria, IL, the son of Kenneth and Helen (Tilton) Naffziger. He married Lou Ann Moser on October 21, 1956 in Washington. Surviving are his wife and their four children Lindsey Naffziger, Jolinda Naffziger, Dane (Kelly) Naffziger, and David Naffziger, all of Washington; one granddaughter Danielle (Peter) Rauser of Chicago; one brother Neil (Shirley) Naffziger of Washington; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His parents and one brother, Keith, preceded him in death. A self-employed farmer for most of his life, he also was a driver for Domino Transport, retiring in 2015. Ron was a past volunteer fireman at the Washington Fire Department where he also served on the Board of Directors. He previously served on the Pleasant View School Board where he served as a past president. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington. He was a loving husband and a very supportive father and grandfather and will be missed by all. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington. Pastors Dick Hanson and Youngshim Pitcher will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Further visitation will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 am on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
