Ronald E. Moore, 90, of Metamora, IL passed away at 3:50 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Washington Senior Living in Washington, IL.

He was born on September 21, 1932 in Cuba, IL, to Ralph and Stella (Swise) Moore. He married Sandra K. Brodt on November 20, 1966, in Metamora, IL, at Christian Union Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra of Metamora; children, Daniel (Kay) Moore of Plainfield, IL, Debra Callear of Safety Harbor, FL, and Katherine Moore of Metamora; grandchildren, Joshua Callear of Safety Harbor, FL, Laura (Connor) Strejcek of Naperville, IL, and Deanna Moore of Milwaukee, WI; and great-grandchildren, Ellis and August Strejcek. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Max Moore, and sister Katherine Reising.

Ronald was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He graduated from Eureka College with a bachelor's degree and was an assembler with Caterpillar Tractor Company. Ron was a member of Christian Union Church in Metamora.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service for the burial of ashes will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association Central Illinois Chapter, 614 West Glen Avenue, Peoria, IL 61614. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
