Ronald E. Kuykendall

WASHINGTON...Ronald Elliott Kuykendall, 66, passed away early Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in St. Louis, Missouri. Ron was born on May 24, 1945 in Peoria to Elmer and Dorothy Bond Kuykendall. Among those surviving is a nephew, Jeff (Larissa) Kuykendall of Groveland and a sister-in-law, Ellie Kuykendall of Morton. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary Kuykendall and one sister, Doris Moore. Ron had worked for Caterpillar for more than 33 years prior to this retirement. For Caterpillar, Ron worked in the Tech Center and the Demonstration Area. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ron served his country in Viet Nam. He was a proud member of VFW Walker Danforth Post #9016 in Washington. A memorial gathering will be held at the VFW Post on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 2 to 6 p.m. Graveside military rites will be accorded at 10 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Cremation rites have been accorded. Mason-White Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ron's family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation payable to Toys for Tots.
