WASHINGTON?Ronald F. Johnson, 78, of Washington, passed away at 9:40 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Ron was born on June 3, 1936 in Chicago to Rudolph and Eleanor (Swartz) Johnson. He married Judith "Judy" Butler in Chicago on May 18, 1956. Judy survives. Also surviving are three daughters Rhonda Johnson of Washington, Laura (Joe) Petrauskas of Tinley Park and Cynthia (Dale) Mueller of Beecher; one son, Tim (Vilailuk) Johnson of Washington; one sister, Sandra McAneney of Homewood and seven grandchildren. Ron retired as a District Superintendent for Commonwealth Edison where he had worked for 38 years. He was a veteran and had served in the U. S. Army. Ron had earned a bachelors degree in business from Governors State University in Chicago. Funeral services for Ron will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with burial following in Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services. Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army and Tazewell Military Rites Team. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
