Roger L. Bachman

Roger L. Bachman, 68, of Metamora, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:52 am at his residence. He was born on February 2, 1946 in Washington, IL to Melvin L. and Eulah (Lasiter) Bachman. He married Kathy M. Strieder on July 17, 1971 in Metamora, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his children Shane (Jaclyn) Bachman of Chandler, AZ and Ronalee (Joshua) Tedesco of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Aidan and Caleb Bachman and Isabella and Biaggio (Mac) Tedesco; father Melvin Bachman of Metamora. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Rodney Bachman in 2009. Roger was a machinist at Boley Machine and Tool, last working in 2009. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed Metamora football and the Illini. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at Hickory Point Cemetery, Metamora with Reverend Mike Danner officiating. Military rites will be accorded after services.
