Robert B. "Ben" Bloom

Robert B. "Ben" Bloom, 37, of Metamora, IL passed away at 5:45 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born on October 28, 1979 in Peoria, IL to Robert A. and Deborah K. (Hamann) Bloom. Surviving are his mother Debbie (Mike) Kluever of Metamora; father Robert Bloom of Peoria; siblings Beth (Jami) Martinez, Noah Bloom, and Jonah Bloom all of Peoria; beloved niece and nephew Thayer and Sienna Martinez; many friends; and his best friend, his dog Ruby. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Ben grew up in Washington and was a graduate of Washington Community High School. He was a warehouse manager for Climax Mine and Empire Mine in Colorado. He made many friends while living in Milwaukee and Colorado. He was a die hard Chicago Cubs, Bears, Hawks, and Bulls fan. He was an extraordinary crossword puzzler and Scrabble and Jeopardy player. He was a loveable and giving person and loved to have a good time. He loved his dog, Ruby, very much. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel in Germantown Hills with Reverend Barry Long officiating.
