Robert A. "Bob" Beach, age 73, of Washington, Illinois, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with his family by his side.

Bob was born on August 30, 1952, in Peoria, the son of the late William and Lillian Gummerson Beach. He married Kathryn E. Gaston on June 11, 2004, in Peoria, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; three children: Billy (sara) Beach of North Pekin, Illinois; Stephanie Scholl of Urbana, Illinois; and Elizabeth (Anthony) Brown-Collins of Peoria, Illinois. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Samuel, Isaac, Daniel, Maxlynn, and Violet Beach; Kaiya and Midge Scholl; and Antonio Brown and Aeliza Collins. Additionally, he leaves behind a sister, Judy Smith of Florida, and a brother, Dr. David (Judi) Beach of Texas. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hullinger.

Bob was employed by Caterpillar, Inc. for forty years in various capacities, retiring in 2013 from the Global Mining Division. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling, culinary pursuits, and fine dining experiences. His most treasured moments were spent with his family and friends.

At Bob's request, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends.
