Rita M. Koch

Rita was born on May 19, 1921 in Rutland to William and Sarah Merdian Volk. She married Melvin Koch in Washington on August 14, 1969. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1990. Among those surviving is one brother, Virgil (Virginia) Volk of Washington; two sisters, Esther (Laverne) Pomeranke of Ladysmith, WI and Theresa Stroud of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Fran Volk, both of Washington and many loving nieces and nephews. She was also preceded by two brothers, Cletus and Louis Volk. Rita had worked for several years at Herbst and then later at the Ben Franklin store in Washington. She was a member of St. PatrickA
