Richard Allen Sinn

Richard Allen Sinn, 84, of Eureka, IL, passed away at 8:10 am on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

He was born on August 23, 1940, in Peoria, IL, to William F. and Evelina P. (Klein) Sinn, Sr. He married Norma J. Gold on June 27, 1969, in Eureka, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Norma of Eureka, IL; children, Roger Sinn of Mayer, AZ, Steven Sinn of Eureka, IL, Thomas Sinn of Indiana, Tod (Marianne) Byram of Sarasota, FL, Bambi Landreth of Eureka, IL, and Cara (Lyndon) Fitzgerald of Roanoke, IL; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Amy Sinn, sister Doris Sinn, and brother William F. Sinn, Jr.

Richard worked at Archer Petroleum as a district sales representative. He was a member of Washington Christian Church in Washington, IL. He enjoyed all things food, gardening, and mowing the lawn. He enjoyed participating in foster care with Norma and working with the kids. He also loved Jesus.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Washington Christian Church with Pastor Kevin Dell and Pastor Jeff Browning officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until time of service, also on Saturday at the church. Burial of Ashes will be in Olio Cemetery in Eureka, IL at a later date.
