Richard "Rick" E. Mangold

Richard E. "Rick" Mangold, 72, of Creve Coeur, IL, formerly of Metamora, IL, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

He was born on March 16, 1949 in Lincoln, IL to Kenneth R. and Mary Alice (Montgomery) Mangold. He married Roberta J. Laurie on January 28, 1968 in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Roberta of Creve Coeur; sons, Richard (Tammy) Mangold II of Columbia, MO and Dennis Mangold of Humboldt, KS; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Tyler) Kosmoski of Green Bay, WI; six grandchildren, Alyssa Mangold, John (Emilee) Mangold, Aleena (Chris) Case, Jimmy Mangold, Jason Mangold, and Emelia Mangold; one great-granddaughter, Everly Joy Mangold; sisters, Linda Oberline of Los Angeles, CA and Rochelle (John) Gavin of Fairbury, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth Mangold, daughter-in-law Janet Mangold, and sister Patricia Ryan.

Rick had worked as a machinist for Caterpillar Tractor Company, retiring after 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, gardening, and yard work. A special thanks to the staff and doctors at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home and special recognition to his granddaughter Aleena.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel.
