Randall Lee "Randy" Alley

Randall Lee "Randy" Alley, 71, of Metamora, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2016 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on April 11, 1945 in Herrin, IL to Kenneth G. and Wilma (McCullough) Alley. Randy married Linda Miller on August 2, 2003. She survives. Also surviving are his children Randy (Betsy) Alley, Jr. of Normandy Park, WA and daughter Adrienne (Dan) Hirsch of Orland Hills, IL; and grandsons Riley and Aiden Alley and Grant Hirsch. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth Donald. Randy served with honor in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was the owner-operator of Western Illinois Skydivers and Coon Creek Outfitters. He retired after 41 years as a locomotive engineer with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most outdoor sports. Randy was a 2nd Degree Black Belt (Ni-Dan) in Shuri-Ryu karate. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Metamora Fields, Metamora. Cremation rites have been accorded.
