Randall Stuart McCombs age 55 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 12:35am Saturday August 20, 2011 at his residence after a brave battle with colon cancer. He was born Feb. 9, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Stuart and Lois (Derry) McCombs. He married Debra Kiesewetter on August 14, 1995 in Chetek, Wisconsin, she survives. Surviving are his children; Jenny (Tom) Callaghan of Poplar Grove, IL, Tyler McCombs of Denver, CO, Tony McCombs of Bloomington, IL, Joe (Katelyn) Arnold of Washington IL, and grandchildren Nikolai, Kirsten, Alyssa, and Tommy all of Poplar Grove, IL. Randy is also survived by his mother Lois McCombs of Peoria, and three sisters Karen (Joe) Chavez, Kim (Rick) Bacon both of Peoria, Peggy (Frank) Morris of Canal Winchester, Ohio and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Randy was a 1974 graduate of Peoria Heights High School where he participated in many sports. He was an electrician for IBEW Local 34 for over 25 years. Member of Christian Union Church in Metamora, Ducks Unlimited Metamora Chapter, and Kennel Lake Sportsman Club in Morton. He also guided for Mallard Farms Duck Club. Randy enjoyed hunting with his sons and friends, cooking wild game, and fishing at his favorite Lake Chetek with family and friends. He will be missed by many of his friends and family. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Tuesday Aug. 23, 2011 at Metamora Christian Union Church with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4pm until 8pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel and also one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be St. Mary Lourdes Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice, and Metamora Christian Union Church Womens Philathea. Online condolences at masonfuneralhome.com
