Ralph E. Johnson, 71, of Washington, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born on January 4, 1955, in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Ralph E. and Wanda L. Deck Johnson. He married Jean Konecsni on June 27, 1992, in Washington.

Surviving are his loving wife, his daughter Sarah Lynn of Peoria, and Rebecca Johnson of Tennessee. He also leaves behind a cherished grandson, Adam Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Johnson, and his sisters, Mina Lewis and Roxie Wheeler.

Ralph began his career at the Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, Illinois, working in maintenance and later handling housekeeping at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, with a steady and caring approach. He retired in 2021, and his dedication has left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was a former member of Beverly Manor Baptist Church in Washington, and his faith was a truly important part of his life.

To honor Ralph’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and his family will privately celebrate his life. Inurnment will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Washington at a later date.
