WASHINGTON? Ralph Aberle,90,died on August5, 2011 at his residence. He was born on October 10, 1920 in Washington, IL to John and Rachel (Opper) Aberle. Survived by his wife of 70 yrs, he married Evelyn Rose Meister on July 4, 1941. Also surviving are three children, Rachel (Dwan) Gullett of O'Fallon IL, Carolyn (Bud) Beck of Jacksonville IL, and Michael (Cindy) Aberle of Pekin IL, 10 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, Vernon (Boots)Aberle. Preceeded in death were brothers Harold, Alvin, and Glen and sister Evelyn (Sis) Wagner. He farmed for 27 years near Deer Creek, IL. He was a WW2 Navy veteran, a Goldon Glove boxer, and a horseman. After Retiring, he commercial fished in New Boston, IL. He attended Grace Bible Church. He was also a lifetime member of Kennel Lake Sportsman Club and a Mason. Hobbies included rug weaving, pinnacle, and baseball. Well loved by family and friends, all who knew him enjoyed him & his rugs. A funeral service for Ralph will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church in Washington with Pastor Terry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 7p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
