Rachel A. Johnston, 39, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 3:11 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born on November 9, 1984, in Peoria, IL, to Arthur E. and Sandra J. (Hungerford) Johnston.

Surviving are her son, Davian of Creve Coeur, IL; daughter, RaeMarie of Roanoke, IL; one granddaughter; parents, Arthur and Sandra of East Peoria, IL; paternal grandmother, Alice Johnston of East Peoria, IL; siblings, Jake Johnston of East Peoria, IL and Andrea (Adam) Watson of Groveland, IL; aunt, Theresa Johnston of East Peoria, IL; K. Hungerford of Salem, OR; aunt, Janice Hungerford-Kimeldorf of Portland, OR; uncle, Wayne (Marcia) Hungerford of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Earl E. Johnston, maternal grandfather, Emory D. Hungerford, Jr., maternal grandmother, Patricia Buckholz, brother, Riley Johnston, and aunt, Margaret Johnston.

Rachel had worked as a first shift bread maker and crew member at Michael's Italian Feast in Eureka, IL. She loved learning from the History Channel. Rachel was interested in genealogy and researched the Haedicke side of her family.
