Racheal Marie McGough, 41, of Metamora, passed away at 11:45 am on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born on November 3, 1973 in Schenectady, New York to David William and Kathleen Marie (Farrar) Hogg. Surviving are her parents Kathleen Hogg of Gray Court, SC and David Hogg of Simpsonville, SC; children Virginia Marie Releford of Gray Court, SC and Elizabeth Anne McGough of Metamora; brothers David William Hogg of Charleston, SC and Jason Paul (Jennifer) Hogg of Simpsonville, SC; grandmother Bertha Hogg of Orlando, FL; uncle James Patrick Hogg of Orlando, FL; father of her children Christopher George McGough of Metamora; and her cat Orangejello "Jello". She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Racheal graduated from Riverside High School, Greer, SC in 1991. She attended Anderson College in Anderson, SC. She had worked at Interior Plantscapes in Mauldin, SC and was currently working at Snyder Village, Metamora as volunteer coordinator and activities aid at the time of her death. She was a member of Metamora Jr. Women?s Club. She had lived in Rotterdam Junction, NY, Greer, SC, Anderson, SC, Fountain Inn, SC and Dyersburg, TN. Her favorite hobby was being an artist. She was of the Christian faith and was selfless, loving, generous and devoted. Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded after visitation. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in South Carolina. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Special Olympics at www.specialolympics.com.
