Phyllis Hopkinson

Phyllis Hopkinson, 79, of Heritage Manor in Chillicothe, formerly of Peoria, was welcomed into her heavenly home, Sunday, January 15, 2017. She had been a patient at Unity Point Health Methodist-Peoria. She was born on December 25, 1937, in Peoria, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Taylor Hopkinson. She never married and has no children. Surviving is her twin sister, Evelyn Hopkinson, whom she lived with her entire life. Evelyn survives and remains a resident at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe. Also surviving are four nieces, Sandy (Gerry) Hattan of Washington; Judy (Mike) Montgomery of Germantown Hills, IL; Karen (Stan) Smith of Boulder City, NV; Darlene Hopkinson of Valencia, CA; and one nephew Robbie (Linda) Hopkinson of Acton, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, her brother and beloved sister-in-law, and one nephew. Phyllis worked as a bookkeeper at Southside Bank in Peoria for 44 years before retiring in October of 2000. She made many friends of both customers and co-Workers during those 44 years and was loved by all. At the request of Phyllis, there will be no visitation. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
