Pete Auston Rogers

Pete Auston Rogers, 64, of Germantown Hills, IL, passed away at 9:10 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Carle Health-Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL.

He was born on November 30, 1959, in Aurora, IL, to Charles W. and Wanda (Cheeseman) Rogers.

Surviving are his partner of eight years, Tracie Martin of Germantown Hills, IL; two sons, Robert (Mary) Rogers of Marquette Heights, IL and Michael Rogers of Peoria, IL; two grandsons, Kyle Rogers and Wesley Rogers; three step-daughters, Sasha Baksai of Peoria, IL, Julie Johnson of Kansas City, KS, and Mikayla Keller of Peoria, IL; four step-grandchildren; and five siblings, George (Debbie) Rogers of Peoria Heights, IL, Kenny (Sherri) Rogers of Bayview Gardens, IL, Mary (Toby) Bachler of Peoria Heights, IL, John Rogers of Peoria, IL, and Wayne (Tracey) Rogers of Toulon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Chelsea Martin.

Pete was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving as a combat engineer. He owned and operated Pete Rogers Properties, a rental property business. Pete was a passionate clock and watch collector, an avid fisherman, and treasure hunter. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling, and cooking.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Pastor Jeff Watson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time, also on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hirstein Cemetery in Morton, IL with military rites accorded.
