WASHINGTON?Peggy Sue Gann, 83, of Washington, passed away at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Peggy Sue was born on March 16, 1930 to John S. and Mary Ann (Wright) Holland in Tucker, Missouri. She married Jack Gann in Peoria on October 28, 1965. Jack survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Sue Coleman of Morton and Kimberly Sue (Douglas) Gerard of Washington; one son, Raymond David (Penny) Farley of London Mills; one brother, Ralph Holland of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four grandchildren, Julie, Gabriela, Hannah and Savannah; three great grandchildren, Michelle, Sophia and Cole and one great great granddaughter, Jaylynn. Peggy Sue was preceded in death by one son, Jack Jeffery Gann; six brothers, Dave, Andy, Robert, John, Jim and Marshall Holland and five sisters, Bertha Long, Mae Murphy, Myrtle Hardcastle, Ethel Goldring and Lois Ferguson. Peg was a member of the East Peoria Church of Christ. She will always be remembered for her awesome cooking and baking. Peg loved life and was always being a cut up with friends and family. Peggy Sue loved to embroider, listen to country music, loved kids (especially the grandchildren) and would visit friends who were sick. Peggy Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services for Peggy Sue will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial donations for Peg may be made to either the OSF Hospice or American Cancer Society.
