Paul Meeks Sr

Paul J. Meeks Sr., 83, of Washington passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his residence.

He was born February 4, 1934, in Lewistown, IL son of Leslie and Erma Feaster Meeks. Paul married Beverly Mazon on September 15, 1956 in San Diego, CA. She passed away on August 27, 2004. One son Paul Jr. 7 brothers and 2 sisters also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter Dori (Kent) Eichelkraut of Washington. Also surviving are six grandchildren Paul "PJ", Tonya, Heather, Hallie, Evan, and Makyah; 6 great grandchildren Victoria, Mason, Autumn, Connor, Aleigha and Gunner. Also surviving are one brother Willis (Judy) Meeks of Washington and one sister Connie Widdell of Topeka, IL.

He was an honorably discharged U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Paul owned and operated STS Chemical Termite and Pest Control in Washington from 1987 until his retirement on October 31, 2017. He never met a stranger, his goal in life was to put a smile on someone's face every day.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov 13, 2017 also at the funeral home. Pastor John Rothfusz will officiate. A private inurnment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to the American Heart Association.
