Patti Fait

Patti C. Fait, 69, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Patti was born on October 30, 1954, the daughter of Dale and Inez (Lane) Cass. She married Stephen Fait on March 10, 1979, in Winett, MT, celebrating their 45th anniversary this year. He survives.

She is also survived by her children, Stephanie Spitz-Fait and Evan Fait, both of Chillicothe; and grandchildren Ava and Bailey Spitz. Her parents and brothers, James and Mike, preceded her in death.

Patti was a high school math teacher in Winnett and Charlo, MT and a tutor at Illinois Central College in Peoria, IL for the last sixteen years. Her passion for teaching was second only to her kindness and empathy for others. She prioritized student success by providing comfort to anxious learners and helping build their confidence. Her patience and encouragement were valued by the students she interacted with, often returning to her for tutoring repeatedly and keeping in touch after they graduated.

Patti's legacy will always be one of kindness. This quality flowed through every aspect of her life and extended beyond all boundaries of her life, family, friends, students, and strangers. She approached everything with a genuine desire to uplift and offer help to others without hesitation.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday, June 17th, 2024, at Mason White Funeral Home in Washington. Cremation rites have been accorded.
