Patrick W. Savage Jr., 62, of Washington, Illinois, sadly passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2026, to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was born on April 1, 1964, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Patrick and Kathryn R. Connors Savage. He married Tammy L. Hess on August 25, 2001, in Peoria.
Surviving family members include his loving wife and their three sons—Joshua, Matthew, and Christopher—all of whom are from Washington. He is also survived by his father from Brule, WI, and two sisters, Susan Savage and Sally Savage, both from Blaine, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Michelle, and one infant sister, Mary Jo.
Pat worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 32 years, retiring in 2020. He was a faithful member of Bethany Community Church in Washington and actively participated in the Wednesday night Prayer meetings and the Men’s Thursday morning Bible Studies, sharing a warm sense of community and faith. He loved cars, and one of his greatest joys was building engines. He had a deep love for his wife and cherished their moments together. He was truly proud of his boys and all their accomplishments, feeling a deep sense of joy in everything they had achieved.
The funeral service is set for 11 am on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Bethany Community Church in Washington, with Pastor Daniel Bennett officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday evening from 4 pm to 7 pm. Additional visitation will be from 10 am until 10:45 am on Saturday. Burial will follow the service at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Bethany Community Church or Pathway Ministries.
