Patricia Anne Streid

Patricia Anne Pearson Streid, age 92, of Metamora passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Snyder Village, Metamora, IL. She was born on January 22, 1924, in Belgian Congo, Africa to missionary parents E. B. and Evelyn (Utter) Pearson. In 1933, at age nine, she moved to Eureka, Illinois. She graduated from Eureka Elementary and High Schools. She attended Eureka College for two years and one year at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married Ben F. Streid on June 17, 1945 at Eureka Christian Church and moved to Metamora, Illinois in 1946. She was a member of Calvary Mennonite Church in Washington, Illinois, Woodford County Home Extension, and IMGHS. She also served as a 4-H leader for many years. She is survived by her husband, Ben; four children Mary Jeanne (Ray) Maynard, Kathleen Streid Noe, Peter J. Streid, and David B. Streid; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Paul Pearson and a sister Barbara Deutsch. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Emmert, and son-in-law Michael Noe. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Global Ministries, P.O.
